Jonathan is the Head of Asian Business Banking at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, responsible for driving and executing the firm’s Asian Business Banking strategy. He has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with extensive regional and international exposure across Asia, U.S. and Australia.
Prior to joining CBA, Jonathan worked in ANZ Institutional & International Banking in Hong Kong where he was most recently Director, Head of Business Banking and had senior client coverage responsibility in the Greater China region.
During his tenure with ANZ, he held several executive positions within the bank including Head of Strategy, Marketing and Projects, where he led the build-out of the ANZ franchise in Hong Kong and across the region, Head of Divisional Strategy, Australia Division, and Country Integration Lead for ANZ’s Acquisition of Royal Bank of Scotland in Taiwan.
Jonathan started his career with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the US where he spent ten years across multiple roles covering Corporate Strategy, Treasury, Wealth Management, Marketing and Analytics.
Jonathan obtained his degree from Cornell University in the US. He is an alumni member of the Chinese Academy of Governance (Hong Kong) Industrial and Commercial Professionals Association and serves as a committee member of the Hong Kong Professionals (Beijing) Association.
